I’m obsessed with books. I’m obsessed with Belle from Beauty and the Beast and her bookish ways. I’m obsessed with devouring stories, spending evenings reading, and looking at the beautiful spines and covers that contain so many possibilities. I started an Instagram account for book alone entitled Belle_Reads and you should check it out! But nonetheless, you could also incorporate books into your party in some way.

Have a book themed party
I wrote an article about 8 books that would excellent themes for a party, including Harry Potter, Jane Austin, classic fairy tales, The Great Gatsby, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and many others – not to mention the countless articles I have written for Alice in Wonderland themed parties. There are so many possibilities, magical worlds you can travel to, and themes you can create for your next event, so starting with this theme is a good place to begin.
Host a book club

Literally devour the books
You can theme the food served at your party to match the book (such as serving all the healthy fruits and vegetables and cheeses that the caterpillar ate in The Very Hungry Caterpillar) or you could create cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other sweet things in the shape of books themselves. Either way, devour your pages in the more literal sense!

Give away books as a gift
You could utilise this idea as a book swap where guests can bring books they have read and are finished with, can leave them on a table at the door, and when guests leave they can check out the books and take one that they would be interested in reading – after all, sharing is caring! Otherwise, if you have specific book theme or idea in mind, you can pick up the books of your own choosing, wrap them in brown paper or newspaper for an authentic look, stick a tag on them, and give your guests a surprise.
So there you have it – 5 ways you can bring your love of reading into your next themed party or event. If you have any more ideas, or want to see something particular next month let me know by emailing me at thepartyconnection@hotmail.com or by leaving me a comment in the description section below.
Until then, happy reading!
