This wedding is from quite a few years but after reconnecting with the gorgeous bride (and bridesmaid for my own wedding!) I finally got my hands on her stunning wedding photos to show to you all! This wedding was a clean minimalist wedding that was designed perfectly in order to make room for all of the love that was shared between the bride and the groom and their family and friends on the big day.
The beautiful bride Sophie met her husband-to-be Luke at the end of the aisle situated on the perfectly manicured lawns of a hidden gem that was a country and golf club in the middle of Canberra. With the neat and pristine surroundings providing a perfect backdrop to the wedding, Sophie and Luke featured minimal additions to the ceremony decorations and chose to go with an understatingly elegant wire frame arch to get married under. They had a blank linen clad signing table to use in order to begin their journey as husband and wife in which they decorated with the bride and bridesmaids bouquets during the signing, and a handful of white gladiator chairs to assist in the comfort of their guests.
Moving inside for the reception guests were met with a romantic expanse of white linen drapery that had been interwoven with dark blue silks to create an arching canopy above the heads of the guests. With a large pomander of flowers in the middle of the canopy that matched the bridal bouquet and twinkling strands of fairy lights pulling the venue’s centrepiece into the backdrop behind the bridal table, the romance filled the air instantly.
The table decorations matched the clean yet romantic feel of the event by featuring mirrored rounds as the table centrepiece with large block white pillar candles burning on top of them. Scattered artfully around the mirror round were a series of clear stones and a large white bloom that also matched the bridal bouquet.
Each guest were treated with a beautiful soy candle that the bride had made herself (she makes her own soy candles, which you may have remembered from my own wedding where we got her to create the Lime and Coconut Save the Dates to send out to our guests) that doubled both as a take home gift and a place card holder. Lastly, the colour theme of navy blue was included in the table decorations by a small stripe of blue silk ribbon lacing its way around each of the guests’ candle place card holder.
Rounding off the romantic minimalist style of the wedding was the beautiful cake! A three-tiered work of art surrounded in perfect bridal white fondant, the cake was decorated with a single strand of intricate diamante and pearl work at the base of each tier and topped off with a double heart diamante cake topper.
All in all this wedding was a perfectionist’s dream! Not only was everything neatly presented and perfectly placed, the bride was the image of every other bride’s dream with her stunning looks and glowing enthusiasm. Showing the full extent of the love and heart between the bride and groom, this wedding was the perfect balance between love and joy in the most pristine yet approachable way possible.
